Achilles Kids in NYC Run Annual Terry Fox 5K for Cancer Research

Members of Team Achilles Kids participated in the Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research 5K on Saturday, October 8 in Central Park. Achilles participation in the race has been an annual tradition for over 25 years.

Achilles NYC Adults and Kids Complete Superhero Training Camp

Adults and kids of the Achilles New York City chapter teamed up for the Achilles Superhero Training Camp this August. They logged activity minutes of running, walking, wheeling and even dancing all August long.

International Endurance Racing Driver Phil Hanson Surprises Team Achilles Kids

Professional endurance driver Phil Hanson has been a regular special guest on Achilles Kids’ virtual workouts the past year. Earlier this fall, he surprised the group in person at a Central Park workout in September. Hanson led a warmup, a Q&A about what it’s like as an endurance driver and a short run with the kids and their guides.

Team Achilles Kids Debuts in Brooklyn and Inspires Classes to Run, Walk, or Roll to the Moon

On July 15, Team Achilles Kids launched its first ever workout in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NY, thanks to support from Dick’s Sporting Goods. After a ceremonial $15,000 check presentation and running class, local families and children enjoyed a post-workout pizza party. The new classes meet Thursdays at 6:00 PM ET. Those in the New York area can cheer on Team Achilles Kids runners in the New Balance 5th Avenue Mile youth race on September 12.
