Janet Patton joined Achilles International in 2007. After falling in love with the organization's mission and work, she moved to a full-time position in 2010 and was named Director of the Achilles Freedom Team, serving wounded, ill or injured members of the U.S. military in 2013. Since then, she has managed over eight marathon wellness weekends and special events per year, coordinating athlete and caregiver accommodation and sponsorship engagement. In the Spring of 2022, Janet was named Vice President of Event Production and Expansion, a new position built to share the Achilles experience with the masses. She graduated from American University in Washington D.C., with B.A.’s in Public Communications and Musical Theater. Janet is the proud sister of a U.S. Navy veteran. She is thrilled to be a part of the Achilles family and is inspired daily by the strength of Achilles athletes, the devotion of their families, the goodwill of the volunteers and the generosity of Achilles donors.
